The Many Faces of IMHA:

Mica's Team Speaks Out..
Mica had the most beautiful, life-embracing, blazing Belgian smile. I never met Mica in person, but I know that from her pictures, and from the smile that I see everyday on Mica's sister, Frannie. I believe that smile of hers is behind the effort to help find a cure for IMHA. It inspires us with her spirit, her strength, her courage, and her love. I know that Mica would want other dogs to keep smiling as long as possible, without having to go through what she experienced. Let's do everything we can to help make that wish come true, for Mica.
-Sister Frannie
Mica was an explorer, full of energy and curiosity. These traits are shared by those searching for cures for diseases. We wish strength to those searching for the cure to IMHA.
-Cousin Chali
IMHA: silent killer-that takes you away from life & family-piece by piece to the Bridge. We're dying for a cure.
-Daisy Mae
I developed IMHA shortly after my rabies vaccination. I've been hospitalized twice; both times the prognosis was grim. Those dark days & nights are difficult for my parents to recall. There's so much dread & anxiety associated with the illness. We speak of it in whispered tones and mark the days on our calendar for medicines. When Mom and Dad look at me, I see the tremendous love in their eyes, but I also see the fear that they try so hard to hide. Mica's Research Fund is a mighty weapon in the battle against a terrible disease that has claimed far too many lives. Please join me in helping Mica find a cure.

In Honor of my special friend, Mica, who lost her life so suddenly to this terrible illness & to all whose lives were cut short because of it, please open your hearts & lend your support to this worthy cause & together we can help find a cure for IMHA. United as one..... we can make a difference in the lives of those we love.

I'm truly thankful Mel wants to use my likeness to help raise money for Mica's Fund. I hope millions of Mel's beautiful interpretations of him (and others) are sold, so a cure is found for this deadly disease. We need our ANGELS to walk among us here on Earth; Heaven will have to wait.
